NC-SMP8000网关是一个应用层网关，置于SIP服务器与SMSC中间，实现了SIP用户与SMS用户互通与数据双向传输。

NC-SMP8000网关系统位于sip服务器和smpp服务器之间，从sip侧收到msg消息后，根据数据内容转换成对应的格式发送给SMPP服务器，从smpp服务器侧收到数据后，根据格式转成utf8编码的msg消息转给sip服务器。

NC-SMP8000网关，使用前必须配置SIP侧和SMPP侧的对应数据。
SIP侧： sip服务器的地址端口，本地侦听sip侧的地址端口，注册的sip用户和密码
SMPP侧：SMPP服务器是作为SMPP服务端使用的，因此SMPP网关需要配置SMPP服务器的地址端口、注册用户、注册密码等；如果需要SMPP服务器作为客户端使用，则需要配置本地SMPP地址、端口、注册用户、注册密码，注意这种需要在SMPP服务器上配置网关的地址和端口，一般来说不会这样使用。
注：NC-SMP8000为协转设备（高度双边协议相关），购买前需与公司技术详细沟通其双方协议支持事项，例如：数据内容是支持ucs2和英文7bit等详细的协议内容。
